Our Cleaning Processes

Once an item has arrived at UCS for cleaning, it is carefully inspected for any obvious signs of external damage. Smaller items are placed into a basket and lowered into the tank by hand.

For larger items such as engine blocks and cylinder heads etc, the parts are carefully lowered into the larger tank using lifting equipment. The liquid used in the large tank is phosphoric acid, which is one of the active ingredients used in the soft drink Coca-Cola, try soaking a penny in this drink to see what happens! Just a few of the items that can be cleaned are Heat exchangers, Condensers, Oil coolers, engine parts such as Blocks, Cylinder heads, Pistons, Casings plus a wide range of industrial products.

Our largest tank size has an internal diameter of 2000mm x 920mm x 920mm so if it fits, we can clean it!

Other Services

UCS also offers a hydraulic pressure testing service to industry standards for which certificates are issued. We can also offer re-tubing services and a repairs service for heat-exchangers or similar equipment.
